Adoption Social Worker: Recruitment & Assessment

The role: An opportunity has arisen to join the Recruitment and Assessment team who work assessing and supporting the adoptive families we recruit to meet the needs of our children and of the wider pool of children waiting for adoptive families. The role is varied including all stages of the recruitment and assessment process, the opportunity to facilitate preparation and ongoing training for families as well as being part of the wider team involved in finding the right families for our children who have a plan of adoption. 

About you: We are seeking to appoint an experienced social worker who has a good understanding of the issues faced by children who have suffered trauma and the qualities needed in adoptive families to meet those needs. You should be a good communicator, a team player and be passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children.

Adoption Team Manager - Recruitment & Assessment

Hours: 0.6 FTE (3 days)
Type: Temporary (Maternity cover from 18.02.2020)
Location: Etrop Court, Wythenshawe

Your role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to our supportive and experienced management team covering the maternity leave of the permanent post holder. The post will supervise a group of recruitment and assessment social workers who work assessing and supporting the adoptive families we recruit to meet the needs of our children and of the wider pool of children waiting for adoptive families. In addition, the post will work closely with the Operations Managers to develop our service to adopters who are caring for children though fostering for adoption.   

About you: We are seeking to appoint an experienced adoption manager or a social worker who has experience of supporting students or mentoring colleagues. You will need to have a good understanding of the issues faced by children who have suffered trauma, the qualities needed in adoptive families to meet those needs as well as the ability to support and motivate a group of staff. You should be a good communicator and be passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children.
