What a difference a year makes!
In July, we are marking our one-year anniversary with a campaign that celebrates what a difference a year makes to the families who adopt with us. From a father teaching his son to ride a bike without stabilisers, to the shy child that becomes the lead in the school play; it’s all about sharing stories from adoptive parents about the life changing, family moments they’ll never forget.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, we are also delighted to announce we’ve adopted our very own super-sized Bee sculpture as part of Bee in the City, a spectacular public art event in Manchester taking place from July - September.
The Adoption Counts Bee, designed by the very talented Lois Cordelia, includes illustrative families and real-life stories and words from our adoptive parents. We will be unveiling the Adoption Counts Bee on July 4th, alongside 130 schools from across Greater Manchester, as part of the Hive of Creativity Festival.
On July 23rd over 100 sponsored Bees will be officially launched to the public as part of a world-class, free art trail across the city’s streets, parks and public spaces. We encourage everyone to take part, explore the hidden treasures and discover the Adoption Counts Bee.
The event comes to an end in October, when the Bee will be auctioned off to raise funds for The Lord Mayor of Manchester’s We Love MCR Charity.
